STILL Framing

So, the framing is taking quite a bit longer than we had hoped (so what's new?) Our generals have been doing it themselves, which we're happy about because we know they'll do it right -- but they have other things to do and can't devote the time to it that subcontractors would. They're supposed to finish framing this week, they mostly just have the garage to go now. Then the trusses will be next, along with roughing out the plumbing, HVAC, and electricity. We met with them today and talked about windows and doors and they said it's time to pick our plumbing fixtures so they can get the right valves in. We picked out shingles last weekend, and have discussed exterior colors (we've already decided to go with stucco and ledge rock). We've also looked at flooring and I'm pretty sure we're going with a darker bamboo for most of the main floor. So many choices! I'd really be happy with just a handful of options to choose from (as long as they were the right options!)

I took this shot on the 15th -- the front pop-out (Emme's room) will have an arched window. They'll cut the hole out when the window gets here:

And these are from yesterday:

The bay in the dining room:

From the living room -- there's a hole in the middle of the floor today for the stairs:

The kitchen and pantry with the laundry room and garage door beyond that:
